- I'm now a middle aged (how did that happen?) woman; four kids, aged 13 to 24; a professional but mainly "mommy tracked" over the years. I've experienced the loss of both parents in the last three years, most recently my mother, December '08. I heard Sara's music on NPR (a Mountain Stage performance), and was hooked as a fan.
Going to the website today, thought I'd join, there seems to be a lot of connections ( I'm a Tx hillcountry person, a '74 grad of Bandera HS, with tons of family there)--though I've lived a long, long time back East; Sara's blog's re: her father's illness seem so familiar after my parents' struggles; and her involvement in so many important social and health concerns --- just felt like joining was a good thing to do.
